THE UNIVERSE OF DIGITAL GAMES IN TEACHER TRAINING: A PEDAGOGICAL APPROACH FOR THE APPROPRIATION OF SKILLS IN PORTUGUESE LANGUAGE

The teaching of the Portuguese language in the appropriation of skills and abilities still shows unsatisfactory results evident in large-scale assessments. Proficient reading is crucial for full access to citizenship and becomes a challenge for teachers. as a possible strategy. Thus, the use of digital game universes is a tool to enhance learning related to language skills. The present study aims to plan and execute in-service continuing education using the universe of digital games as a thematic motto for the appropriation of skills, through didactic sequences built by Portuguese language teachers who work in the 9th year of elementary school, with a view to to the learning of skills and competences, for which we take the BNCC as references; Studies that dialogue with the teaching of the Portuguese language: Antunes (2003); Geraldi (2012);Pietri (2009;Marcuschi(2008) and Passarelli (2011) on Huizinga games (2000)Alves and Coutinho digital games (2016) Petry (2014; Prensky(2012); Sanches (2021)To anchor the elaboration about didactic sequence we take as basis the studies of Noverraz and Schneuwly (2004). About teacher formation Tardif(2014) Imbernón( 2011)Zabala (1998). As for the methodology we will use the action research in the perspective of a qualitative approach of exploratory nature Thiollent ( 1986);Gil (2017) the locus of the research are the Portuguese language teachers who teach in the 9th of elementary school in the municipal teaching network of São Gonçalo do Amarante RN. and planning: application of questionnaires to students and teachers; 2) Implementation: training with teachers and elaboration of didactic sequences. 3) Evaluation: Where an analysis of training will be carried out with teachers and their contributions. In the end, it is expected that training with teachers can contribute to the appropriation of skills in the Portuguese language with a focus on the Saeb matrix.
