OBSERVATORY OF CONTINUING TEACHING TRAINING FOR DATA COLLECTION ON TRAINING NEEDS
Continuing teacher education. Formative needs. Observatory.
The teacher training process needs to occur permanently, but one of the greatest difficulties for Basic Education teachers is the access to continuing education courses that reflect the specific and contextual requirements of different school realities. Therefore, it creates a gap in the training of teachers and, consequently, in the training of students. Identifying how training demands should be a process that precedes the planning of courses, as the knowledge of such contextual elements of the school reality can bring a diagnosis and an approach to a contextualized training with the space of performance of these professionals. Thus, this research aims to create an Observatory of Continuing Teacher Education as an instrument to collect demands for teacher training to subsidize the offer of continuing education courses. The scientific method used for this work will be inductive, with a qualitative and applied approach. What are the exploratory and descriptive objectives, or the methodological tracking of this work, according to the following objectives: a) Analyze how a proposal for continuing teacher education courses is presented by the training institutions; b) Find out and how teachers direct their training needs to training institutions; c) Identify as motivations that lead teachers to seek continuous training, to create a friendly observatory project; and d) Develop a permanent data collection system on teachers' training demands. As a result of this research, it is expected that the availability of a gamified information system updated by teachers of Basic Education, with information about their training demands, can contribute to the use of training tools and an information bank to serve as an indication in the proposal. courses with themes more in tune with the reality of the school floor.
