Evaluation of the synthesis and incorporation of drug in biodegradable membranes of PBAT / PLA
PBAT/PLA blends. drug incorporation. polymeric film. solvent evaporation.
Membranes were obtained using the phase inversion method by the solvent evaporation technique from Poly (Butylene Adipate-co-Terephthalate) / Polylactic Acid (PBAT/PLA) blends and the incorporation of the drug composed of Calcipotriol Hydrate and Betamethasone Dipropionate. The form of drug incorporation was analyzed according to the dissolution time. The films were characterized by SEM, XRD, FTIR and water vapor transmission. By SEM it was observed that the obtained films are dense, as required for the application. In the XRD, the characteristic peaks of PBAT and PLA were observed in the pure membrane and with the incorporation of the drug there was an increase of it respective peaks, indicating the effectiveness of the incorporation. At the vapor transmission, a satisfactory flow was obtained, in accordance with the suggested need. Thus, the films obtained can be used as a system for application in drugs controlled release.
