Multichannel Single slope ADC
ADC, Single Slope, Multichannel
Single slope analog-Digital converters (ADC) are generally employed in multi-channel applications due to their relative constructive simplicity, small total area occupied in a chip and low energy consumption. Thus, this work aims to carry out a study of the main parameters of a single multichannel ramp A/D converter, which shares the ramp generator between channels, motivating the analysis of the relative uncertainties of conversion. It is intended to analyze the uncertainty of ramp generation and the offset of the comparator, in the expectation of identifying the resolution limit of the converter for the technology used. First, simulations were performed, at a high level, to adjust the converter specifications and then preliminary analysis of the errors of gain, offset and linearity, in order to observe the performance of the converter and thus set goals for the Project development. Finally, the execution schedule is presented for the completion of this work.
