The use of fuels derived from fossil sources has caused major global challenges, and the development of research in search of renewable energy resources is relevant. Thus, the present work aims to evaluate the potential of licuri oil (Syagrus Coronata) to obtain renewable hydrocarbons from its thermocatalytic thermal conversion using KIT-6 type catalysts supported with nickel and molybdenum. The catalysts were characterized by X-Ray Diffractometry (XRD), Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA), Fourier Transform InfraRed spectroscopy (FTIR) and Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM/EDS). The biomass source, licuri oil, was characterized in terms of its density and viscosity properties. A kinetic study was carried out using thermogravimetric data obtained at heating rates of 10, 20, 30 and 40 °C/min, where the Ozawa-Flynn-Wall (OFW) and Kissinger-Akahira-Sunose (KAS) models were applied to verify the catalytic activity of the materials in the decomposition of biomass. Based on the values of the correlation coefficient (R²), it was found that the KAS model is better suited to the process of thermal and thermocatalytic degradation of licuri oil. From the results of apparent activation energy (Ea), it was verified that the presence of catalysts led to an increase in these values in relation to the thermal test of the oil, suggesting the occurrence of polymerization reactions.
