SUMMARY:
The evaluation of the influence of the dimensionality of zeolitic structures with 1D, 2D and 3D pore systems, exerts on the accessibility of bulky hydrocarbons to active sites. The Y, ZSM-5 and mordenite zeolites underwent treatments to introduce secondary porosity. The analysis of X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), X-Ray Fluorescence (RXF), Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR), textural analysis by nitrogen adsorption and desorption and Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) prove to be favorable. The Y and ZSM-5 zeolites had a high increase in the specific area, reaching values of 858 m2/g. The mordenite zeolite showed an increase in the volume of mesopores and high retention values. The materials can be published in the 1,3,5-Triisopropylbenzene cracking reaction and taken against catalytic accessibility.
