SUMMARY:

The organizational culture and commitment constructs are extensively studied based on the assumption that an organization's culture can influence workers' commitment. This work will be carried out at the Childhood Education Center - NEI/CAp, an application college linked to the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte and has the general objective of analyzing the relationship between organizational culture and the commitment of servers. For this, the dimensions of the organizational culture predominant in the NEI/CAp and the dimensions of the commitment of the organization's servants will be identified. Studying the relationship between these two constructs in a sector so far little investigated can contribute to the success of the organization and serve as support for future work in other application schools in Brazil. To this end, an exploratory and descriptive study, of a qualitative and quantitative nature, was carried out with the organization's teaching and technical-administrative staff. As data collection methods, two questionnaires will be used: the Organizational Culture Assessment Instrument by Cameron and Quinn (2006) and the Organizational Commitment Base Scale, by Medeiros et al. (2005). Data will be treated in statistical software through factor analysis and multiple regression. As for the results, it is expected that the predominant culture dimensions will be identified, as well as the commitment of the servers, in order to prove that the two are closely linked, in which the type of culture found influences the organizational commitment of the organization's servers in study.
