ORGANIZATIONAL COMMITMENT: validation of the Escala de Bases do Comprometimento Organizacional - EBACO in a Fuel Distributor
Organizational commitment; Multidimensional Model; EBACO; Statistical validation; Factor analysis
This research aims to statistically validate the Escala de Bases do Comprometimento Organizacional - EBACO, developed by Medeiros (2003). Two decades since the conception of the model, the world has undergone impactful changes such as economic crises, wars and, mainly, the COVID-19 Pandemic. Therefore, knowing the impacts that these changes can cause on Organizational Commitment, the research proposes to verify the validity of EBACO in current times. As a consequence of applying the model, the study will also assess the level, on EBACO bases, of the Organizational Commitment of ALE Combustíveis employees. It is a case study to be carried out through field research, with a quantitative approach, of an applied nature and descriptive purpose. The first stage will consist of applying the questionnaire with 37 closed questions. From data collection and tabulation, factor analysis and Cronbach's Alpha will be performed to statistically validate the model in the current context. Next, the socioeconomic and occupational profile of ALE Combustíveis employees will be characterized. Subsequently, the level of commitment of the organization's employees in each of the bases will be verified, verifying which base of Organizational Commitment will predominate. The last step will be done by comparing the bases of the EBACO model and the socioeconomic and occupational characteristics of ALE Combustíveis employees.
