Revisional studies of the literature on female entrepreneurship reinforce that female entrepreneurs are inserted in networks, which can be composed of different relationships, such as family, community, and business ties. Research on networks in entrepreneurship shows how they help entrepreneurs to manage uncertainties, obtain efficiency, and access resources. Still, most studies present an image of entrepreneurs as network architects who plan and seek contact with targeted ties, neglecting issues of unpredictability and ambiguity of goals. The effectuation approach is part of this perspective by considering the notion of uncertainty and how it can restrict or allow alternative forms of action in networks by entrepreneurs. This perspective finds the contingencies of the environment and encompasses the adaptability of entrepreneurs and networks, paving the way for studies that seek to understand the initiation and adaptation of network formation and entrepreneurial actions, including in the context of female entrepreneurship. This study proposes to develop a conceptual framework that represents the union between the dynamics of female entrepreneurship networks and the effectuation logic. Specifically, it aims to: identify female entrepreneurship networks; outline the relational elements present in the formation of female entrepreneurship networks; outline the elements of the dynamics of networks present in the formation of female entrepreneurship networks; examine how the female entrepreneurship approach is incorporated into the effectuation logic of the investigated networks. Multiple case studies will be conducted with data collected from semi-structured interviews and questionnaire applications. For the analysis of these data, content analysis techniques will be addressed, as well as multidimensional scaling. Preliminary results corroborate the proposed propositions and show elements of the effectuation logic in forming a female entrepreneurship network in Rio Grande do Norte State. The network was shaped as a result of contingencies and interactions. At the same time, it shaped the businesses of the participating entrepreneurs with the partnerships provided, and themes worked on in the meetings.
