GENDER STEREOTYPE AND FEMALE ENTREPRENEURIAL INTENT IN THE FIELD OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

There is a growing interest from public and private policy academy on the issue of female entrepreneurship, however, there is a theoretical gap on how gender stereotypes relate to female entrepreneurial intention, especially in the information technology (IT) sector. To know more in depth this problem, two researches of a concrete nature will be carried out, which will produce results with greater depth. The first will be a documentary research, through a Systematic Literature Review (RSL). The present RSL will analyze the empirical works that deal with a segment of research on female stereotypes in the IT professional, using a Parsifal research tool to assist in the research. As a methodological procedure, an RSL protocol, exclusion method, PICOC method, procedures for selecting articles and, finally, the quality of the articles found will be used. Based on the execution phase of the search, the articles selected after the paths analyzed through the analysis of understanding which theorists base the thematically, the main stereotypes found, which lead to the deconstruction of the stereotype and the practical benefits that were treated articles. Based on what was found in the RSL, an empirical research will be developed that will result in the second article. With inequality in critical epistemology, the study will analyze, at the local level, the role of stereotype in the reproduction of women working in the IT area. As a data collection instrument, a semi-structured interview will be used. After data collection, a categorical content analysis will be carried out, aided by computational tools. It is hoped that the articles contribute to a better understanding of entrepreneurship issues and stereotypes for the female gender.
