.Based on previous studies on Reward Crowdfunding campaigns, it is still necessary to analyze the contribution of the success determinants so that it is possible to clarify which main factors are decisive in the success of the campaigns. The central objective of this dissertation is to identify the main determinants of the success of fundraising campaigns via Reward Crowdfunding. Three trials will be carried out to achieve the proposed objective, one of which has been completed, and two are in progress. First trial: Through a systematic search in the Web of Science and Scopus databases, a systematic review of the literature on Reward Crowdfunding and its determinants of success was achieved. Second essay: based on the factors that influence the success of campaigns recognized through the systematic review of the literature, an empirical analysis model is under construction with information from a campaign database obtained from the North American Indiegogo platform. In the third test: a reapplication of the empirical model developed in the second test will be carried out to a Brazilian database to validate the model in different databases and contexts. In the first trial, 51 articles were eligible to compose the final sample after identifying, screening, and eligibility stages of studies reached in the databases. According to these studies, the factors duration, goal, videos, rewards, team composition, number of words and images, updates, category, comments, geolocation, social networks, supporters, average contribution, and launch date are determinants for the success of Reward Crowdfunding campaigns. In essay two, so far, the effects of the leading media and communication elements in campaigns have been evidenced, demonstrating the relationships in which trends have on sponsor behavior and identifying whether platforms have a community of recurring sponsors in specific categories. In the third trial, it is expected that using the Brazilian database, the determinants of success will maintain their effects and confirm the trends evidenced in the second trial.
