SUMMARY:

Technology-based companies are looking for more mechanisms to leverage their management and innovation processes. Among the tools that can contribute to consolidating successful companies, incubators stand out, organizations that offer services to start-ups, develop and share resources and capabilities. To be successful in the incubation process, it is important that incubators identify the needs of companies, their perceptions of the services provided and their performance. In this sense and starting from the approaches of Dynamic Capabilities and Organizational Performance, the goal of this thesis is to analyze the effectiveness of the services offered by technology-based incubators in the results perceived by graduated companies, that is, after leaving the incubator. Although there is a growing interest and focus of researchers on post-incubation issues, what happens to graduated companies is still an unexplored area. In order to achieve this goal, a quantitative and descriptive cross-sectional research will be carried out, through the survey research strategy applied to managers of graduated technology-based companies, located in the northeast of the country. The choice of this segment was due to the representativeness of the investigated sector and its relevance with regard to the economic impact in this region of Brazil. The research questionnaire used was validated, based on previous work, and was evaluated by a group of specialists in focus group meetings. The analysis of the results will be based on descriptive statistics and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM), using the statistical software SmartPLS. At the end of the study, it will be possible to confirm or reject the investigated hypotheses. Among the expected results, it is intended, from the analysis of the interactions between the services offered during the incubation and the dynamic capacities and performance of the companies, to help better understand the role of the incubators and their contribution to the companies in order to organize strategies their actions and whether the purposes of the incubation system are being achieved and especially if they are in accordance with the objectives of the companies.
