In the information age, the use of software increases by organizations and end users. These software support processes, organizational routines and are available in a variety of platforms. Software development is a process that is almost associated with difficulties and shortcomings. It is known that only 16.2% of software projects are completed successfully (The Standish Group, 2016). However, the form of software creation has been changing with the introduction of new approaches and paradigms. This thesis defends the co-creation, which emerged as a cooperative, interactive process, capable to minimize flaws and deficiencies in the development of products and services. In the literature, however, there is little information on the co-creation process in software development and the form how multiple stakeholders (multistakeholder) collaborate - the search was performed through a systematic review and scoping-type review that generated a field mapping and a research framework. Given this context, the purpose of this thesis is to understand the process of software co-creation with the direct action of the stakeholders. The methodology follow a qualitative approach and will adopt the single case study as a research strategy. Documental data will be collected composed by the users’ comments about the systems and verbal data generated through the application of semi-structured interviews using photoelecitation with different groups of stakeholders. For the analysis of the data, the thematic analysis will be used with the creation of codes and categories that are specified in the framework of the research and can explain the studied phenomenon. The software QSR NVivo will be used to support the analysis. At the end of the study, we intend to generate a framework that explains the co-creation in software development, with the actions and activities carried out by the various stakeholders. These results are important for software managers and developers as they help integrate roles, information, and technology from different stakeholders, while facilitating the coordination, developmental evolution, and software enhancement. Managers will be able to visualize the actions and activities used by each stakeholder, establish strategies and measures to increase each stage of the process and facilitate the co-creation.
