RESUMO:

Information Systems (IS) are widely used by organizations, enabling efficiency on corporate daily activities, allowing new businesses opportunities development and supporting decision making on strategical level. The IS implementation has been discussed by researchers, professionals and executives for four decades, and the main focus has been improvements on technical procedures, technical tools and frameworks, or from the organizational point of view. However, implementation of IS are highly complex process that not always achieve success. Researches about controversies among actants happen in a process called Translation, regarding to these aspects, this thesis offers a search for the comprehension of these controversies among actants in the moments of Translation (Problematization, Interessment, Enrollment and Mobilization), these constructs were proposed by the Actor-Network Theory (ANT).  Using ANT as the theoretical background, this exploratory qualitative study aims to comprehend the implementation of IS from a humans and non-humans (actants) interaction point of view and, and notedly, analyze the controversies among these actants during the Translation. The investigation takes place on a case study realized on an institution of the judicial system. The data collected will be interviews with stakeholders and the documentation of the implementation of the IS, in a way that organizations may be able to comprehend the implementation of an IS from the ANT perspective and act proactively towards increasing the chances of success.
