RESUMO:

The electrical system model introduced in Brazil at the end of the 90s produced an environment with a high degree of regulation. The creation of the National Agency of Electrical Energy and its rules force the actors involved in this system to always seek the low tariffs with a high level of quality of service and product quality. These requirements imposed on power utilities in Brazil do with companies to develop processes for continuous improvement. But not always these strategies are sufficient to ensure good quality indicators. Often the process does not maintain a perfect sync to the point to avoid flaws in its execution. Other times, the failures are not in the process itself, but in their own equipment which are subject to the procedures exist. An example is the preventive maintenance schedules that are developed in certain equipment in a substation. We can mention yet, unscheduled failures to be corrected is necessary that the correct information, scroll through the channels of communication to quickly and accurately reaching those responsible for maintenance. Not always the right information reaches the right sectors quickly and accurately, but are not stored and catalogas for future analysis. In this work, it proposes construction of an embedded system which aims to reduce interruption time caused by the failure of certain components of a circuit breaker, and will provide real-time information maintenance teams being possible also to store data for extraction information pertaining to an optimized schedule of maintenance.
