SUMMARY:

The present work researches the self-ethnographic process of a preparation for a performance, which brings an interface between music and movement based on the Weight, Time and Space aspects of Rudolf Laban's (1978) choreological studies applied to the work “Seven pieces for piano” by Amaral Vieira (Op. 169). These choreological studies are well known and applied mainly in the area of dance.  Few works contemplate the interface between body movement based on Laban's choreology and piano performance (AMARAL; ANDRADE, 2017; ARAÚJO; SOBRINHO, 2016; BRANCO, 2013; FERNANDES-WEISS, 2018; MATEUS; 2009; MARQUES, 2010; SANCHEZ, 2009; SCIALOM, 2017). The purpose of this research is to explore how the movement from the labanian perspective can make contributions to musical performance from both an objective and an objective perspective. As a methodology, a self-ethnographic, bibliographic research was carried out, recording the artistic process in the form of writing in a reflective diary and on video.
