SUMMARY:

This research is about the trajectory of composer and performer, based on the literature regarding collaborative works and the study of extended techniques, addressed by Bosso (2013), Costa (2011), Cardassi (2019) and Domenici (2013), among others. We also found a low number of works that feature extended techniques for solo bassoon written collaboratively between composer and performer. The purpose of this research, therefore, was to record the collaborative process and the exchange of experiences between composer and performer in a work for solo bassoon that makes use of extended techniques. To this end, we used a bibliographic survey, semi-structured interviews, and the recording of collaborative processes, among other methods. We achieved as a result of this interaction, the elaboration of a cycle of compositions for solo bassoon, depicting extended techniques (still under analysis, in this version of the dissertation). The next step will be to present a detailed record of the decisions that occurred during the collaboration, as well as to perform live and record the performances of the entire cycle, thus providing theoretical and phonographic material for the academic community and future researchers.
