SUMMARY:

This work refers to an investigation carried out with two participants of the Guitar Orchestra of UFRN, subgroup of the Esperança Viva university extension project. The aim is to investigate the process of reading / playing the guitar from Braille musicography specific to the instrument, as well as to propose methodological strategies and materials adapted to make them accessible for people with visual impairments. For this, the research will be based on the qualitative approach, with action research as a methodology for data collection, data analysis and intervention in the empirical field. In this way, the investigation will bring about discussions about inclusion in the context of the formation of the visually impaired person, as well as the writing and language used for this deficiency. For this work we sought support in the conceptions of BONILHA (2006), GIESTEIRA (2013), LOURO (2016), MASINI (2013), TOMÉ (2003), among others. Thus, it is intended to contribute to the area of music teaching for people with visual impairment, approaching reflections and about the use of accessible materials adapted to make the learning process more effective and meaningful for these people.
