RESUMO:

The present study focuses on the dialogue between the areas of special education and education, recognizing musical learning as an inclusive axis for people with disabilities, with emphasis on autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or autism. The research aims to understand how the mediation of musical learning through autistic mother-child interaction occurs. The method used was the case study, in a qualitative approach, because it understood that this method is proper when one wants to interpret a given context in its singularity and complexity. The methodological design included the application of a pre-survey questionnaire, observation of the classes and semi-structured interviews with the selected families. To analyze the data, two criteria were adopted: image analysis in motion and content analysis. Focusing on the mother-child interaction, according to the preliminary analysis, reading all interview responses, and based on research literature and objectives, we identified six (6) categories. These are: a) family-music relationship; b) importance of music to the autistic; c) strengthening links of autistic mother-child interaction; d) influence of musical learning in family routine; e) autistic demands on mothers; f) meaning of music for mothers. As a result, we highlight the importance of family musical learning, the promotion of more musical learning spaces with these peculiarities, with reflections, theories and educational practices about the theme in focus, and thus, to expand the knowledge related to musical education of the person with autism.
