RESUMO:

The present study describes the performance and musical transmission in Calemba Pintadinho of the master Dedé Veríssimo, located in São Gonçalo do Amarante in the state of Rio Grande do Norte. It seeks to bring reflections on how music learning is occurring in children who currently included in the group and discusses the learning participants. The method used in the research was the field work and the ethnography, and the instruments of data collection were observation and interviews. Some of the authors used in the foundation of this work were Lima (2008), Gurgel (1981), Queiroz (2005) and Brandão (1983). The data presented in this research are still presented in progress of analysis, for reasons of the presentations that were resumed on dates recent, after a period that the group stood still.
