RESUMO:

The various spaces where musicians pass in search of their training are matters for debate today. Therefore, the Musical Education, thought of as the area investigating the complexity that is in engagement between music and people, is certainly attentive to notice the different environments in which happens to musical learnin. This work is aimed at in-depth understanding about the formative spaces which outline the autonomy of popular musicians. In this regard, I propose to achieve the research objectives through scientific look at the autonomous musical formation of popular musicians, and the musicians Eduardo Taufic and Jubileu Filho as the empirical field. The paper presents a literature review with the aim of demonstrating the progress of research on the subject. The theoretical foundation commends the debate, pointing out the implications of the authors in constant dialogues with the theme. The case study, based on a qualitative approach is the methodological approach proposed. Data collection, we used the questionnaire and direct observation and semi-structured interview. Furthermore, the use of photographs cooperating with the visual aspects of the work, allowing further analysis. The organization and later data analysis were materialized from the perspective of Textual Analysis Discourse. Through this, the units of initial analysis and categorical converged to the final categories, providing the text alignment from three central points: initial musical training, musical training in different spaces and musical training in professional contexts. Therefore, the categorization provided an opportunity to understand about the various training spaces where popular musicians pass from its first contacts with the music to the stage of professional practice.
