SUMMARY:
Since 1988, with the creation of the Unified Health System (SUS), we have conquered several policies and programs in the health field. Among them, we highlight the Melhor em Casa Program as a home care service, which promotes a bond between the family and the health team, a triad of care responsibility formed by family-caregiver-home. The present study is an Action Research with an evaluative study of the type before and after, with the objective of analyzing the contribution of auriculotherapy in the mental health of caregivers of bedridden people, accompanied by the Primary Care team registered in the Melhor em Casa Program. from the municipality of Assú, in Rio Grande do Norte. Data collection was carried out from November 2021 to January 2022, in which 12 cases of family caregivers were analyzed, before and after auriculotherapy sessions, following the Humanescent Integrative Reception Protocol (PAIH). Data were collected before and after the therapeutic intervention of auriculotherapy application, which allowed, at first, a profile analysis, followed by listening with a comparative study, evaluated by a qualitative bias, through Bardin's content analysis. The research was approved by the research ethics committee (CAAE:51956921.7.0000.5292). The results showed a significant improvement in the well-being, emotional and physical state of the analyzed caregivers.
