RESUMO:

Infant mortality still presents as a serious public health problem, and especially when it comes to the neonatal component. Despite the many strategies already implemented to deal with the high number of infant deaths, offering adequate care to the newborn is still a challenge. Shared hospital discharge is presented as a potential strategy for the follow-up of the newborn at risk after discharge from maternity, especially if it is performed in a shared way between Specialized Attention and Primary Care. Thus, this research aims to analyze the shared discharge process of the newborn by maternity teams, shared with the family health teams in the context of Primary Health Care care. This is an exploratory study of the descriptive type, with qualitative approach, to be developed in the city of Cajazeiras, in the state of Paraíba. The subjects involved in the research will be the Maternity and Family Health Units (FHU) health teams directly linked to the care of the newborn. The data will be collected through two techniques: the interview to be performed with the universe of the 23 USF teams and the reference team in the Maternity care, as well as the focus group, which will include both the care team Maternity, as a family health team that will be selected for the criterion of presenting, in its area of coverage, the highest percentage of newborns at risk in the municipality. It is intended to map, among caregivers, consensus and dissent about the care and shared high of the newborn, as well as to build a checklist of the high-qualified APS component, complementary axis, to what was established by the World Health Organization in checklist for safe deliveries to maternity wards. The data will be analyzed through content analysis from Bardin's perspective. Regarding the ethical aspects, the research will follow what is determined by Resolution no. 466/2012 of the National Health Council (CNS), which provides guidelines and regulatory standards for research involving human beings.
