RESUMO:

This research has the following analysis problem: What is the perception of professionals and users about the group as a tool for health promotion and self-care in the Family Health Strategy in the Municipality of Assú / RN? It aims to describe the perception of professionals and users about the groups as a tool for health promotion and self-care in the Family Health Strategy in the Municipality of Assú / RN. This is a descriptive research, according to Gil (2008), whose main objective is to characterize a particular population, a phenomenon or the relationships between variables. We chose a qualitative approach that, according to Minayo (2009), works with the universe of meanings, motives, aspirations, beliefs, values and attitudes in which these phenomena are interpreted from their actions within the reality lived. The research will be carried out in 01 Basic Health Unit of the Urban Zone of the Municipality of Assú / RN. The team will be chosen through a draw among the 09 teams where the Expanded Family Health Center operates. The sample will be comprised of 11 professionals from the multidisciplinary family health team and eight participating users from a group that works on the same team. For the data collection will be used semistructured interview with the professionals and focus group with the users. Data analysis will be done through the Bardin content analysis. Regarding the ethical aspects, this research will be submitted to CEP HUOL / UFRN for approval before its beginning. Authorization will be requested at the Municipal Health Department for data collection (letter of agreement) and participants will be invited to sign authorization for voice recording and free and informed consent. The research will be funded by the responsible researcher.
