Summary: The National Policy of Primary Care, established by GM 2,488 / 2011 ordinance brings the specific role of the Community Health Agent (ACS) "develop health promotion activities, prevention of diseases and disorders as well as health surveillance for through home visits and individual and collective educational actions in the home and in the community "(BRAZIL, 2006, p.15). It is defined as research objective: to analyze the health education actions developed by the Community Health Workers Health Unit Family Felipe Shrimp I. The study was classified as an applied research, exploratory qualitative approach. It was performed by semiestrututrada interview, being developed researcher, in March 2016. The study followed all ethical procedures recommended by existing legislation, with opinion approved by the Research Ethics Committee in Human Beings with CAAE: 51325315.4.0000.5292. The results were worked from the thematic analysis (MINAYO, 2010), covering the following categories: The understanding of "health education; Limits and possibilities of the development of health education practices actions and feelings of community health agents in the development of health education actions. The findings point to a tension between two educational models: the traditional and the dialogical. In fact seem to co-exist in the the Family Health Strategy elements scene of both models, with the hegemonic first and second, an attempt to consolidate the assumptions of the Unified Health System (SUS). We understand that professionals, from experienced difficulties should seek new ways to make health education, enabling reflect on daily life and transform naturalized practices; The results suggest the need for ACS rethink the way they have developed their educational practices in health in order to get along with your team conditions for their empowerment, so that it can be perceived as a major player with your community from the perspective of transformation of reality and strengthening of social control. Fleeing from reality today set that is transfer of normative character of guidelines that aim to change the subject habits according to what is expected of him, without taking into account the uniqueness of each community or family
