INFLUENCE OF CLIMATE VARIABLES ON ARTISANAL FISHING IN PECEM-CEARÁ
CPUE. Climate. Cross Correlation.
This study aims to identify the influence of the variability of meteorological variables on artisanal fishing carried out in the district of Pecém, located in the municipality of São Gonçalo do Amarante in Ceará. For this, the work will use time series of the climatic variables of precipitation, ambient temperature and wind speed (2019 to 2022). Such information comes from the Cearense Foundation of Meteorology and the automatic station in Fortaleza belonging to the National Institute of Meteorology. Data obtained through reanalysis of the ERA-Interim are also used. Regarding fishing activities, information gathered by the Fishing Landing Monitoring Project and Fishing Specialization Project, carried out by Petrobras as a mandatory measure in the context of environmental licensing for oil and gas exploration activities in the state of Ceará, is used. In these projects, fishing production information and fishing route information are collected daily, using GPS, from 2019 to 2022. Some techniques will be used for data analysis, including descriptive statistics and simple and cross correlations.
