Understanding climate change is a subject of relevant importance and has stimulated several researches, mainly due to the increase in extreme events that cause losses and economic disturbances for society. The main related causes are solar variability, changes in the atmosphere, greenhouse gas or sulfur content due to natural or man-made action and internal variability in the ocean-atmosphere system. In this context, we analyzed the climatic variables observed and recorded in the Launch Centers in Brazil (Alcântara Launch Center - in Maranhão and Barreira do Inferno Launch Center - in Natal), with the objective of characterizing the interference of meteorology in rocket launches, with its risks and losses. Historical series of more than 30 years of data from the meteorological stations of the two Centers were used, which has great reliability due to the preservation of the physical characteristics of the two locations, over time, without interference from urban growth. The R program will be used for data treatment and correlation between the time series of climatological variables. The Fourier series and the Wavelet transform will show the mathematical formalism of the data. The present study will denote not only the relationship between meteorology and rocket launches in Brazil, with costs and security actions, but a historical tour of the space research that took place in the two centers throughout their existence.
