RESUMO:

The Visceral Leishmaniasis (VL) is proving a serious public health problem, and is included in the World Health Organization as one of the neglected tropical diseases by the public power. Brazil is the country of Latin America with the highest record of cases, with 90% coming from the Northeast region records. The Visceral Leishmaniasis has the favorable factors to its geographical expansion sociodemographic conditions of the population and climatic conditions. People at risk, such as poor housing conditions are more vulnerais the disease. Moreover, weather conditions can promote the proliferation of vectors responsible for LV. In this scenario, the objective of this study is to identify possible patterns of Visceral Leishmaniasis (VL) in the Northeast of Brazil, based on their spatial distribution in relation to sociodemographic factors and climate hydro that help in expanding the distribution of cases in the Brazilian Northeast, the from 2001 to 2015. for this we use environmental and meteorological data provided by INMET and ANA and demographic information collected in the last census by IBGE, in addition to LV information provided by DATASUS. For data analysis, spatial statistical techniques will be used in addition to the logistic regression model for discrete data. Finally, the work will present the preliminary results of the research and the proposal for the other techniques that will be applied during the development work.
