RESUMO:

The work aims to investigate the Pomba-Gira from the perspective of guide myth (LYRA, 2013), experienced bodily from the creation of a series of performances uncovered by Mitologia em Arte (LYRA, 2013). Mitodologia em Arte which proposes a path of procedures in the restoration of image and myth as devices of self-recognition. In the experience of performing the Pomban-Gira, the pejorative term of Mulata ends up being tensed, working on images associated with the idea of female figures objectified by sexuality and coming from a historical context of discrimination because they are from African matrices. Being a black woman, the researcher, who embodies the figure of the Pomba-Gira, discusses questions about structuring racism and black feminism, seeking to bring these issues into the performing arts. In convergence with the material of Mitologia em Arte, by Lyra, it also seeks to dialogue with the concepts of Archetype Carl Jung (2002) Myth Joseph Campbell (1991), Eroticism  Audre Lorde (1984) Racism Grada Kilomba (2019) and elements of Performance Richard Schechner  (2006) and Victor Turner (1974) investigate the myth of the Pomba-Gira.
