Under the disability´s veil: theoretical analysis of the relationship between sexuality and people with disabilities

The main objective of this work is to analyze the relationship between sexuality and disability, based on the proposition of the disability’s veil as a concept. Based on the results and on the readings discussions on sexuality; social model of disability and conceptual differences between sexual and reproductive rights as fundamental human rights are made. In addition to situating the historical path of women with disabilities as a political subject, the work also analyzes the connection between sexuality and bodie’s control, proposing the concept of 'veil of disability' as part of the process of apprehending the way in which sexuality is subtracted from people with disabilities, especially women, deepening relationships of violence and oppression.
