SUMMARY:

This document refers to the Thesis Project presented to the Post-Graduation Program in Social Work from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte, as a partial requirement for obtaining a doctorate degree in Social Work. It focuses on the Preceptorship in Social Work in the scope of University Hospitals (HU) in the Northeast, managed by the Brazilian Company of Hospital Services (EBSERH). This is a public company ruled by private law, of which I am part of the staff as preceptor social worker. The transfer of the management and execution of the HUs hospital complex for an undetermined period of time to EBSERH ruptures with the eminently public character of the University and allows the logic of the private sector to be predominant in this space. Therefore, being inserted in a Teaching Hospital, whose management is under the responsibility of a company ruled by the privatist logic, brings uneasiness and raises the need to reflect on the work of the social worker in preceptorship in an institutional context where there is a primacy of the pacient care rather than teaching. In this setting, this thesis project has as its general objective to analyze the preceptorship in Social Work in Multiprofessional Residency Programs at the Northeast region linked to Teaching Hospitals managed by EBSERH. It presents as specific objectives: to map the sociodemographic profile of the social workers who act as preceptors in the Residency Programs of the HUs managed by EBSERH in the Northeast region; to identify their working conditions, as well as to analyze the social workers' knowledge about preceptorship and their function in the Residency Programs in the scope of these HUs. The choice for the Northeast is justified because it is the region that offers the most vacancies for Social Work in Health Residency Programs. Regarding methodology, the study is an explanatory research with a mixed approach. As to the procedures, it is intended to be a field research, split into two segments. The first, addressed to the 76 leading preceptor social workers, through a form with a mixed focus, made accessible through the digital platform Google forms. The second stage, by means of a collective semi-structured interview, involving eleven social worker preceptors, one from each HU. The participation will be voluntary and the matters of confidentiality, anonymity and data protection will be preserved, observing the ethical principles contained in Resolution 466/2012 and 510/2016. As with all scientific research, the study will be theoretically guided by authors who can support the thesis. The data will be collected and systematized with content analysis procedures. The methodology that will lead the study will be the dialectical historical materialist since it allows us to relate the dialectical process of the facts with the movement of reality, given the mutability of history and the fact that the subjects involved in this transformation are participants and builders of themselves as social individuals. As a result, it is expected that this study will contribute to the debate on preceptorship in Social Work in the Residency Programs of the HU's, in the light of the Professional Ethical and Political Project, emphasizing the relevance of preceptorship in the education of social workers at the SUS for the SUS.
