SUMMARY:

The main objective of the research outlined here is to analyze the process of the sexual division of politics in the Settlements of Alto Sertão Paraibano, based on the participation of women in the struggle for land in Brazil, articulating with the particularities of the Northeast Region. We propose the historical rescue and the contemporary debate of the problem of the Brazilian agrarian question; in which we analyze feminism in the countryside in order to reveal how patriarchal gender relations are present in rural areas and to what extent it affects women's political participation. As a methodology, we present a study based on the dialectical method, supported by investigation, bibliographic and field research, with a qualitative approach. The field research will be carried out through semi-structured interviews, with open questions with 10 (ten) settled women who participated in the entire process of struggle of the Acauã and Nova Vida I Settlements, both located in the municipality of Aparecida-PB, in Alto Sertão Paraibano. Being 05 (five) from each settlement, referring to the number of research participants, we intend to identify their political participation based on the axes: age group, schooling, marital status, maternity, employment relationship, race and sexual diversity. The work will be duly submitted to the Research Ethics Committee.
