SUMMARY:

The particularities of the health area make it a space where it is necessary to discuss interprofessional work, considering its intense process of specialization between professional categories and procedures. Therefore, discussing this theme becomes fundamental, given the effects produced by the new morphology of work and the scrapping of public services. Factors that are intensified through neoliberal ideas that increasingly compromise the legitimacy of social rights and labor relations. From this perspective, this study aims to analyze the interprofessional work in mental health services in the city of Parnamirim/RN. It seeks to understand the organization of interprofessional work in these services, as well as to apprehend its particularities and identify the main challenges for its effectiveness, given the current situation of Brazilian society. Thus, it is proposed to carry out a research with emphasis on a quantitative-quantitative approach, guided by the dialectical-critical method. It starts from an extensive bibliographic review on the central categories of the study, and from the collection of primary data carried out through semi-structured interviews with the professionals who make up the service teams, through a form with open and closed questions. A document analysis will also be carried out, taking into account the particularities of the documents in the services. Data analysis will be performed using the Content Analysis technique (Bardin). This study aims to promote reflections about reality, considering its dynamics and contradictions; to provoke changes in the practice of the various professionals in the mental health area, so that they seek to contribute to the change in the care model, from the perspective of integrality and the transformation of reality; contribute so that interprofessional work is absorbed as a fundamental element in mental health devices, so that, from the articulation between different knowledge and fields of knowledge, the fragmented and reductionist view of health, based on the disease-centered care model , can be overcome.
