SUMMARY:

This thesis reveals how precariousness is particularized within the category of motoboys, based on the conditions and working relationships of these workers in João Pessoa/PB. This study is justified according to their request in the face of capital restructuring and, more forcefully, given the expansion of ICT's and the COVID-19 pandemic. The general objective is to understand what particularizes the work of motoboys in the process of real subsumption of work to capital, with a focus on the municipality of João Pessoa/PB. Therefore, this paper specifically analyzes the process of production and social reproduction in contemporary sociability, seeking to understand it from the foundations of the general law of capitalist accumulation, to explain the relationship between precariousness and overexploitation, also considering the role that the State has assumed concerning the work of motoboys, revealing the social function of this professional category in the movement of capital rotation or social reproduction. The route carried out leads to the analysis of the conditions and working relationships of motoboys in João Pessoa/PB. To achieve the purposes, the method of dialectical historical-materialism is used, and as methodological procedures were applied the bibliographic, documentary, and empirical research, culminating in quantitative-qualitative research, of an explanatory and exploratory nature. It is argued that the political-economic adjustments corroborate the materialization of new strategies of the precariousness of work because they intensify the dependence of workers in relation to the market. The trend of the professional category of motoboys is that the updated super-exploitation presents itself as an expression of the precariousness of work, revealing itself as an expression of the social issue.
