RESUMO:

The thesis presented here proposes to investigate the conditions and working relationships of motoboys, in the city of João Pessoa / PB. To do so, it has its analyzes based on critical social theory, which allows to make the necessary mediations in the world of work through contemporary capitalism. In this sense, it has as general objective to understand what particularizes the work of motoboys in the process of production and social reproduction, with a cut for the municipality of João Pessoa / PB. Thus, the research considered exploratory and explanatory will require a bibliographic, documentary and empirical survey. Therefore, it is considered that it will have a quantitative-qualitative mark and will be based on content analysis, whose method of analysis is the critical-dialectic. Thus, the sampling of the field research will occur in a simple random way, through the articulation with some companies, "cooperatives" and outsourced that request these subjects in João Pessoa / PB, through a semi-structured interview and technique of oral history , to be held in the second half of 2019. As for documentary research, the data will be collected in Brazil and with a cut for Paraíba and João Pessoa, between 2016 and 2018, whose documents will be accessed by the Institute of Applied Economic Research ( IPEA), to observe the social and economic impacts of traffic accidents, as well as data from the Inter-Union Department of Statistics and Socioeconomic Studies - DIEESE, to understand how the State has acted towards these subjects, for example, social and traffic accidents, working conditions, etc. It is intended to elucidate, therefore, the relation between the transformations in the contemporary world of work and the particularity (s) of the work of motoboys in this process, as well as the functionality of the State in this movement.
