RESUMO:

This study intends, in the context of the professional practice of the Social Worker, to reflect on the work processes of the Social Worker in the area of Advisory and Consulting in Social Work in the RN. In view of the constant changes present in the current juncture require the social workers not only the commitment to the working class, but also a critical and planned action. This is always based on ethical-political, explicit and conscious principles, through the consistent articulation of theoretical-methodological and technical-operative skills. Based on this assumption, the study seeks to highlight the work processes of the Social Worker in the sphere of Advisory and Consultancy in Social Work in the State of Rio Grande do Norte, as a reality present in socio-occupational spaces of different areas of action of the category. It pretends to unveil how these work processes occur, its challenges and contradictions, areas of action, ways of insertion and working conditions of these professionals in the socio-occupational spaces. In addition to the understanding of its work instruments and ethico-political, theoretical and methodological directions, through analyzes carried out in the actions and projects developed. Finally, it intends to collaborate in the understanding of this process as an emerging demand for Social Work in contemporary society. It consists of a research with a qualitative approach, which combines bibliographical, documentary and empirical research. The bibliographical research will mediate all the analysis, based on concepts and theoretical foundations of the thematic. In the empirical research, the data collection will be through the semi-structured interview, through a pre-established script. It is intended to interview seven social workers who act as advisors or consultants in Social Work in the State of RN, in institutions of different natures (public, private, mixed or even autonomous professionals). The documentary research will be carried out through analyzes of the projects of Advisory and Consulting in Social Work, of the last two years, developed by these professionals. At the end of the transcription of the interviews, the data obtained from this source of collection, together with the others, will be systematized through content analysis and used as a basis for the development of the dissertation, the final product of the mentioned study.
