The present research is dedicated to the study of the importance of social participation for the realization of the right to housing, as a human, individual and collective right, highlighting historical aspects of the achievements, emphasizes national and international laws and struggles that have pervaded the incorporation of housing in the roll of economic and social rights. It problematizes the housing deficit, translated into a lack of decent housing for the impoverished population, understanding it as a forceful expression of social inequalities and the deep income concentration of Brazilian society, visible in the segregated spaces of our cities. Its object is to know the protagonism of the Movement of Fight in the Neighborhoods, Villages and Slums - MLB for the conquest of the right to housing during the occupation March 8 in Natal / RN. Its general objective is to analyze the contribution of the Movement of Struggle in Neighborhoods, Villages and Favelas - MLB to the conquest of the right to housing in Natal / RN. In particular, it seeks to map the strategies and processes of participation and political organization, mobilization, and struggles unleashed highlighting the positions on the reality of the occupation March 8, in the defense of their individual and collective interests. In this sense, it seeks to reflect on the degree of autonomy and / or political dependence of the MLB in relation to the executive power. Thus, it tries to identify the experiences of social struggles more significant of the MLB with emphasis in the protagonism and positioning of the collective subjects that fight in defense of the access to decent housing. It is a qualitative research that combines bibliographical and documentary research. Prioritizing documents and scenarios produced during the March 8 occupation, such as minutes, notes, pamphlets, news in newspapers, alternative media and social networks.
