RESUMO:

The present project proposes to apprehend the Brazilian particularity of the umbilical relation between urban question and capitalist accumulation. In order to do so, we aim to understand the particularities of the Brazilian urban question in the first decades of the XXI century in order to understand how the social, economic and political direction of the Brazilian State in the period of the governments of Lula and Dilma (2003) -2015), added to the interests and needs of national capital, condition the conformation of Brazilian cities and intensify social contradictions and class struggles in urban space. In addition to the delimited period, we will also try to apprehend the current conformations of our object from the transformations arising from the approval of counterreforms operated by the illegitimate government of Michel Temer. In order for us to apprehend the multiple determinations that make up our object, we choose to start from an ontological perspective in order to understand the main characteristics of the relation that the individual establishes with space. In this way, we take as central category of analysis, space and how it behaves in the evolutionary processuality carried out by the ontological spheres. Taking space as a social complex and seeking to delimit its conformations in capitalist class society has contributed to defining the main theoretical pillars that will guide our further investigations. We will try to translate theoretically our proposed object from a research of bibliographical nature. However, in the methodological path to be followed we will also work with the collection of data and documentary sources to base our inferences.
