RESUMO:

It is proposed, in this research project, to analyze the relationship between the reproduction of the labor power and social rights, based on its effectiveness by social policies and the specificity of social assistance policy. The central problem of research is: what is the relationship between social assistance and the reproduction of the labor power from the mediation between the State and the market? Therefore, the general objective is to analyze the relationship between the social assistance policy and the reproduction of the labor power through the mediation between the State and the market. In this direction, the following specific objectives are presented: 1) To apprehend the specificity of the reproduction of the labor power in Capitalism from the distinction between the categories work and labor power; 2) Analyze state management and social policies related to the monopoly context of Capital through its relationship with social rights; 3) Analyze the specificity of social assistance as a state mediation in relation to the reproduction of the labor power. In this perspective, it is based on the rescue of the relation of interdependence between the material base (economic sphere) and the political sphere, because they substantiate the capitalist relationship of exploitation and domination over work. The guiding thread for the construction of the theoretical-methodological path will be the distinction between the categories of labor and the labor power and, in this sense, theoretical dialogue will be based on Karl Marx's work "Capital: Critique of Political Economy" (Book I) . It adopts, as research method, the Marxist tradition (historical-dialectical materialism) and, about the methodological assumptions,  is an essentially theoretical work, which will be subsidized by bibliographical research as a process of data collection.
