RESUMO:

The research project is part of the debate on the instrumentality of social work in the scope of vocational training and aims to analyze its theoretical-methodological, ethical-political and technical-operative rationale and perspectives of undergraduate approach in public and private universities In face-to-face and distance modalities in Rio Grande do Norte. This way, the guiding axis turns to the theoretical references that approach this subject, in the curricular components that make interlocution with the instrumentality and mainly to identify the implementation of the Curricular Directives of 1996 in the courses of Social Work, since some institutions follow Only the guidelines of the Ministry of Education (MEC). The study aims at apprehending the societal determinations that affect the way of thinking the instrumentality; To identify and analyze the apprehension of instrumentality from the perspective of teachers and students of Social Work courses, both in person and at a distance, and to analyze the menus of the curricular components that approach the debate of instrumentality and its transversality in the curriculum. Data collection will be done through a mapping of existing Social Work courses in the RN; Documentary research for access to the curricula of the vocational training units in Social Work, interviews with a previously elaborated script and content analysis.
We hope that the results contribute to the apprehension and critique of the theoretical-political tendencies on instrumentality in the professional training of the social worker.
