SUMMARY:

Space is produced according to capitalism, with the generation or intensification of inequalities and contradictions. Thus, different social agents selectively coexist in space, producing space according to their intentions. With this understanding, this research aims to analyze the production of urban space in Timbaúba dos Batistas - RN according to the development of social housing policy, in the period 2004-2024. To achieve this objective, bibliographical, statistical and field data research will be carried out, inquiring about social agents who participate in the development of the aforementioned policy, or who are covered by it. Therefore, the results achieved will be from the perspective of analyzing the production of space in small cities in Brazil and the transformation of the urban space of Timbaúba dos Batistas, with attention to the contribution of social housing policy.
