SUMMARY:

The landscapes that make up the different terrestrial environments reflect the synthesis of the game of relationships between the different factors that compose them, which maintain constant exchange relationships and participate in the dynamics existing in the places. We observe in the Brazilian territory a great mosaic of landscapes, in the Northeast region it is not different. The Northeast of Brazil presents a climatic variation that ranges from humid climates, these being identified on the northeastern coast, to semi-arid climates marked by the rigor of semi-arid conditions. The research in question proposes to study the Nicácio site, which is located at the foot of Chapada do Araripe in the municipality of Santana do Cariri. Can Sítio Nicácio be characterized as an exceptional subspace within the territory of Santana do Cariri, characterized by vegetational diversity? What methodological approach would be appropriate to analyze the Nicácio Site? How does Chapada do Araripe influence the phytophysiognomic characteristics found in the study area? The Nicácio site has features that differ from the surrounding areas of the municipality where it is characterized as an exceptional subspace. 2. Based on a systemic analysis, it is possible to interpret the landscape found at the Nicácio site, as this approach allows understanding the relationships given between the natural elements that make up the local landscape, as well as including appropriate scales for this purpose in its methodological framework. Therefore, the general objective of the research was to analyze the phytophysiognomic diversity at Sítio Nicácio Chapada do Araripe/CE, seeking to carry out a phytogeographic survey at Sítio Nicácio, Chapada do Araripe/CE, as well as to evaluate the relationship between landscape elements and the distribution of plant species and classify the phytophysiognomic units present in the area. The results obtained from the execution of the steps described above, especially from the surveys carried out in the field, will be analyzed using the methods described. Where the use of software such as those described above will occur in order to understand the dynamics that are presented in the study area. There will be interpretation and description of them. Where the notes on the discoveries made will be made, as well as the identification of gaps that still exist for the theme and/or area of study.
