RESUMO:

Our thesis evaluates the displacement of the place (τόπος) and the mode (τρόπος) in the relation between the learner (μαθητής) and the one who teaches (διδάσκαλος), which Plato presents in the Ménon, and its connection with Aristophanes comedy. The tension between διδάσκαλος and μαθητής, significant in Plato's work, plays a central role in this dialogue, whose composition exposes the supposedly fruitless relationship between the sophist young Menon and the master Socrates. We analyzed the elements that can substantiate the attempt to read the Ménon as a dialogue with the crisis of the Athenian παιδεία explained by Comedy, especially by Aristophanes. Thus, we show that ἀνάμνησις serves as a solution to this problem, in view of the emergence of displacement of τρόπος and τόπος of παιδεία. The displacement of the role of the one who teaches / learns is a radical proposal and is in line with the onto-epistemological project expressed in the Ménon. In turn, it demands of the διδάσκαλος that it is not a holder and transmitter of wisdom, but that allows itself and the μαθητής to perceive in otherness, the walk in search of knowledge. As well as the urgency of being involved in a process that is collaborative, cooperative and shared, which aims at knowledge from research, which admits the utility and need to persist pleasantly along the path of opinion.
