SUMMARY:

Several social, economic, political and technological transformations have profoundly impacted higher education, changing the way students learn, as institutions operate and knowledge is generated and disseminated. The rapid pace of change continues to challenge universities to adapt and innovate to meet the demands of the 21st century. In view of this, UFRN has been promoting the updating of the Pedagogical Course Projects (PPC), which is a strategic document to guide the training of students and which must be in line with federal and institutional regulations that regulate Higher Education. This process is complex, made up of different flows of information, with the participation of different actors, instances and documents. This complexity and the scarcity of guided documents can be reasons for delays in the progress of processes that have been noticed in the last three years. In view of this, the general objective of the dissertation is to propose the creation and implementation of a communication product that promotes knowledge about the process of preparing projects for UFRN undergraduate courses and their information flows. The specific objectives are: a) to investigate the coordinates’ perceptions of obstacles and information needs during the preparation of the PPC; b) understand the institutional guidelines for preparing and updating PPCs and thus identify possible gaps in the documents developed; c) map the information flows of processes, identify information gaps that may influence the progress of processes; d) develop prototypes of communication products (booklets and manuals), establishing their characteristics, contents and distribution routes. This research is qualitative in nature, with descriptive and applied objectives. The research methods used will be bibliographical research, documentary research and data collection, through interviews with course coordinators who updated the Course Pedagogical Project during the period from 2021 to 2023. The results will allow us to design communication products such as booklets, manuals and videos that clarify how information flows occur during the PPC update so that the processes can be completed successfully and with greater certainty.
