INFORMACIONAL BEHAVIOR ON THE USE OF BOOKS FROM VIRTUAL LIBRARIES: A STUDY IN THE FEDERAL UNIVERSITY OF THE SEMI-ARID REGION/CARAUBAS CAMPUS

Technological resources are increasingly present in libraries, so it is necessary to understand how libraries experience this moment and how services are directed according to the needs of the community. Among the technological resources in libraries, virtual library platforms stand out, complex, dynamic environments with endless resources that aim to facilitate access and use of virtual collections. In this scenario, the research problem arises: How does the personal context influence the behavior and informational practices of the community regarding the use of virtual library platforms by the community of the Universidade Federal Rural do Semi-Árido/Campus Caraúbas? Therefore, the general objective of the research is to analyze the behavior and informational practices of the academic community in the use of virtual libraries at Ufersa/Campus Caraúbas. The methodology has a qualitative approach and a descriptive exploratory character, with bibliographical research on subjects concerning the satisfactory theme and application of obedience in the studied community to identify behavior and informational practices in the use of book methods in virtual libraries. Finally, the development of this research contributed academically and scientifically to the area of Information Science by enabling investigation of User Behavior and Informational Practices regarding the use of virtual books, as well as deepening the use and evaluation of library platforms and consequently, the proposition of improvements in the use of an existing resource at Ufersa/Campus Caraúbas.
