THE SIXTH MATERNAL SENSE AMIDST THE EXTERMINATION OF BLACK YOUTH
PUBLIC SECURITY PERSPECTIVE AND STRATEGIES FOR THE PRESERVATION OF THE LIFE OF BLACK YOUNG PEOPLE OF WOMEN WHO LOST ONE OF THEIR CHILDREN
Extermination of Black Youth. Public Security. Maternity
This work is part of an ongoing research on how black youth tutors perceive public security and outline strategies to safeguard the lives of their tutelage. I am developing it specifically with women who have already had a relative who was under their care murdered, as I suspect that the experience of grief has changed the way they read the insecurity situations that surround their lives and that of their families. My field is territorialized in three peripheral neighborhoods west of the city of Parnamirim / RN, which have a history of urban violence, so in the first chapter of this dissertation I bring you a proposal to read the history of this region, which is divided into two moments, where I initially discuss urban development and later reflect on the dynamics of public security. In the second chapter, I perform an analysis of the impact of recent events (such as the pandemic and anti-racism mobilizations) on the lives of my research collaborators, focusing especially on their mothering practices.
