Evidences on the Nursing work process in the management of hospital services: an integrative review

Management activities are constitutive of nursing practice, especially nurses, since the institutionalization of the profession, in the mid-19th century. The nurse's management process is an instrument to achieve assistance, and can be used to propose changes, implement them and institute new actions. The objective of this study is to analyze the managerial work process of nurses in the hospital area, in order to contribute to the development and construction of new ways of managing in nursing and, at the same time, clarifying the actions and meanings that involve managerial practice. of nurses. This is an integrative review, with a virtual bibliographic survey carried out between February and March 2022, in the following databases: PubMed, CINAHL, Embase, LILACS,
SciELO and Web of Science. The final sample consisted of 10 articles. The results were presented and discussed taking into account two thematic categories: Service Management and Care Management. The analysis of publications suggests that managing has to go beyond directing so that the team can achieve the objectives, the manager must create the conditions for the organization's human resources to respond individually and creatively, to an environment that requires permanent adaptations.
