Cell phone usage has increased dramatically. This change in the form of communication between the owners offers great potential for involvement in patient care, supporting their self-management and shared promotion with health services. Improve communication, facilitate compliance with scheduled procedures and reduce surgical suspensions. Thus, the objective of this work was to develop a communication tool called Surgery Remember to mitigate surgical suspensions due to patient absenteeism. It is a study of technological production divided into four stages: review of the literature, analysis of the administrative profile of the hospital under study, software development and process mapping for the implementation of the surgery Remember. To approach the problem of absenteeism as the main cause of surgical suspension in the three years, the development of this system aims to reduce cancellations of surgeries. The sending of messages three days before the surgical procedure, allows the replacement of patients in case of no-show, optimizing the human and material resources of the operating room. Confirmation of the pre-anesthetic consultation is also positive to verify the improvement of perioperative care. Therefore, the software developed, in addition to being viable and easy to implement, allows the addition of other options according to the need, proving to be favorable in solving the exposed problem.
