DEVELOPMENT AND VALIDATION OF QUALITY CRITERIA FOR AN ACUPUNCTURE CONSULTATION
Acupuncture. Quality Improvement. Validation Study.
Integrative and Complementary Health Practices (PICS) are a healthcare approach regulated by the Ministry of Health through the National Policy on Integrative and Complementary Health Practices, which has been gaining ground in the Unified Health System (SUS) and user acceptance. However, PICS still lack research that scientifically demonstrates what clinical practice has shown. There is a lack of parameters to evaluate their practice and criteria to measure quality. Acupuncture consultations were chosen as an opportunity for improvement in the PICS service where the study was developed, given their higher demand and importance to the service. Theoretical framework: Good Practice Guidelines who acupuncture practices. ANVISA resolutions. Evidence research in databases resulted in an evidence gap on the topic of acupuncture and quality improvement. Authors recognized by acupuncture practitioners in Brazil. Bibliography on content validation methodology. Objective: to develop and validate quality criteria for an acupuncture consultation that are valid, reliable, and applicable by other researchers and acupuncture practitioners. Methodology: Methodological study of criterion construction through evidence search and content validation through expert consensus on the subject (Delphi technique).
