ANALYTICAL AND TECHNICAL-INTERPRETATIVE APPROACHES IN SONATA FOR TROMPETE AND PIANO OF CLAUDIO SANTORO
MUSIC, ANALYSIS, INTERPRETATION, PERFORMANCE
In this work, analytical procedures will be presented to assist the interpreter's comprehension, and provide possibilities for solving questions about the technical-interpretative difficulties encountered during the interpretative process of Claudio Santoro's Sonata for Trumpet and Piano, as well as the 'translation' of the elements explicit and implicit in the score through the signs, namely: joints, dynamics, movements and phrases. Based on COOK (1994 and 2006) and RINK (2002 and 2007), we will discuss here methods of analytical approaches for interpretive purposes, from the point of view of composers, theorists and interpreters, presenting the problems related to this practice and possible resolutions providing suggestions for analytical methodologies for the interpreter. With the final objective, to present practical recommendations to overcome the difficulties encountered in the course of the interpretative process, seeking to be consistent with the stylistic and structural aspects of the work studied.
